A pair of Blue Cap Cordon Bleu finches. The male has
the blue feathers on the top of his head. The female has
the brown feathers on her head. |

This is a photo of my first pair of Blue Cap
Cordon Blues. I had
been keeping them in a 5 ft aviary. My female died due to
egg binding while she was laying her first clutch of eggs.
The male refused to eat after she died and he died two days
latter. I will be trying again with these birds in the
fall, when I have more room available. |
